"Toe Correction Surgery"

I went in for a day surgery and was an very nervous patient. THe staff were amazing both before my operation and on the day of ... I am a day post op and am feeling great! The day care staff were lovely and helpful with any questions I had before the day. When I arrived on the day my own nurse settled me in and had arranged for my anesthetist to come and talk to me in detail about my general anesthetic so I understood everything, then my surgeon came and explained it all to me again so i knew exactly what would happen in the following weeks. When I went through to theater the nurses comforted me when I got upset and worried, people talked to me until I was under and before I knew it it was all over and I was waking up to more incredibly friendly staff in recovery who soon sorted out my sickness feeling and pain. Once I was with it enough I was taken onto the ward again and my mum was brought through to me. I was given a cup of tea, jug of water and a sandwich. Everything was explained to me and I was checked on constantly. Within four hours I was on my way home after seeing the physio and having all pain control taken care of. I could not thank the staff enough for all that they have done so far and all that I am sure they will do for me in the coming weeks.
