"Removal of an Endometrioic Cyst"

About: Blackpool Victoria Hospital

I was admitted to Surgery in May 2016 for a Laparascopic removal of an Endometriotic cyst. This was as a result of a serious vaginal bleed I had back in Jan 2016, which rendered me 2 days stay in Ward 10 and Ward 15 B, through A& E. I am extremely grateful for the staff and Nurses in both Wards who took great care of me. I had an Ultrasound scan which showed a complex mass. I was frightened and concerned. Throughout the whole process

I was well looked after, and kept informed, prior to leaving the hospital,- I had a CT scan and an MRI scan followed shortly. I am grateful to the consultant I am under in Obs and Gynae who got things moving and was able to be operated on recently. The surgery went well and I was able to leave on the day of surgery. Thank you to the recovery Nurses who looked after me, the support and communication has been amazing.

I have been very fortunate to been taken care so well by Blackpool Victoria Hospital and we are really lucky to have such a wonderful establishment.
