What I liked
When I explained the situation and the fact that I'd not been able to get over how bad the pain was to the out of hours doctor (via the GP practice) the A&E staff listened. I was able to explain the situation and felt that they understood. I was initially seen by the Triage nurse who when realised that I needed to go to Majors (not Minors) saw that I was handed over and the situation was explained. Quick treatment was given as appropriate by the nurses. The doctor then saw me and again treatment was given promptly. They explained what was happening and why the decisions were being taken.
What could be improved
Communication about possible discharge time - mainly so I could organise someone to come and pick me up but it was busy as any A&E department is.
