"Fanstastic care at DRI"

About: Doncaster Royal Infirmary / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

In June I broke my wrist and went to Hillingdon A&E, and they were great. It was a Tuesday night, so things were quite, just a bit busy. It's a pity they can't cut waiting times, they really need more staff, but I do understand. I think they should have 3 receptionists on at night, not 2, as there was a long wait on reception. I didn't mind waiting though, I enjoyed chatting to people as I waited.

Two weeks later I was referred to Doncaster Royal Infirmary and admitted to ward 6, for an operation on my wrist. The care I received was fantastic! They were excellent. In the night I was hungry and the nurses kindly brought me tea and toast with jam. Such kindness! I would like to thank Mr. Helm and his team.

I've always been very lucky, and haven't been to hospital much. This slowed me down for a bit, but it doesn't stop me dancing! I can't rock 'n' roll, but I still disco.
