"Parking at Nevill Hall"

About: Nevill Hall Hospital

(as a relative),

I had cause to visit the hospital over a six week period. The parking was as bad as some people have suggested but having talked to the car park supervisor (who I may add was as helpful as could be under the circumstances) I now have a better understanding of the car parking situation.

He assures me that the parking and going into town is a myth! It used to be because it was market day,' which I may add was on a Tuesday but as he pointed out the mayhem is every day of the week not just Tuesday and why would they the car park attendants let people park go up town and then take abuse off people who couldn't park. ( Makes sense )

By all accounts the hospital is three quarters full with staff before the clinics start. Some staff are there for twelve hours shifts so their cars are parked all day, if the clinics run over for what ever reason the knock on effect is huge on the people coming for later appointments, visiting also starts early so in effect everyone is coming into the hospital and no one is leaving.

I also witnessed the parking guys getting seriously abused over the couple of weeks that I had to visit the hospital unbelievable!
