"Kind and efficient care for my daughter's tonsillectomy"

We wanted to thank all the staff on ward 5 and the theatre staff who cared for my daughter in February at Royal Preston hospital. The staff on the ward were kind, welcoming and encouraged and answered every question we had. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they went out of their way to help. They also rang a day after we were discharged (day case) to check we were ok.

The theatre staff were knowledgeable, calm and efficient.

The only glitch was the pharmacy did not have our discharge meds ready on time, and it was not ideal to be sitting in a busy reception area with a poorly 9 year old. I imagine the improved flow of day cases puts increased pressure on pharmacy, if this is the case then additional resources should be allocated for this.

Overall, we were happy with the procedure though, thank you.
