Seen in fracture clinic on Tues 12 Apr 2016.
Clinic running approx 45 mins late - but no info tell patients this - had to ask nurse after my appointment time passed.
Saw "consultant" for approx 5 mins which included them dictating letter to my gp.
Didn't bring up my xray to go through this with me, very brusque attitude, told me I couldn't drive for four weeks, I explained that I live alone in a remote area with no public transport but they weren't prepared to see me sooner than 4 weeks.
Also when I said the co-codamol wasn't touching the pain they initially told me to take extra paracetamol.
Only corrected them self to recommend ibuprofen when I queried taking paracetamol with co-codamol.
Their diagnosis as per letter to my GP was acromioclaviclular joint dislocation grade 3.
Requested my follow up at York hospital.
Seen there on monday 9th May.
Appointment bang on time polite staff don't make you feel like you are an inconvenience. Consultant told me Scarborough diagnosis wrong, only level 2 and no dislocation, I could have driven after two weeks.
Usual shambolic, poor care at Scarborough, I only went there as it was emergency I have all other health problems dealt with at York.
Oh yes and just found out last month following first visit to York Opthalmology that I don't have the glaucoma diagnosed at Scarborough about 6 years ago.
I have thick corneas which causes inaccurate pressure readings when testing eye sight.
Been taking eye drops for years for problem I don't have.
Cheers again Scarborough hospital.
