"Worst Experience"

About: Blackpool Victoria Hospital

Had an operation on Monday 9th May at about 11am. Had various different staff that were amazing before going into the Day surgery Ward, in room 15. I had a nurse who didn't know how to fill in an Observation Chart and a nurse which made me feel so small and didn't believe that I was terrified of needles and so proceeded to tell me their little girl when she goes for injections, they tell to tough it up, and so they took my cannula . I have a huge phobia of needles and this has been the worst nurse I have had to deal with. They sent me home and told me I needed to go to the walk in center or go to my doctors to get the dressing on both my feet changed, and I even have the medical Advice notes that were given to say I had to go in on the Wednesday, I couldn't even walk and they gave me a wheelchair just to get to the car when leaving, but other than that I've had no help at all. I go to my GP's on the Wednesday like they said still unable to walk and the Doctors tell me that on my discharge notes given to them that a district nurse was suppose to come out to me, and both my doctors and my family are appalled with the help that we have been given.

I would have preferred to have had the Student nurse who kept coming in to see to me as they were caring, calm, knew what they were doing and put me first when making decisions Good luck whoever you are in the Future you'll be an excellent nurse!
