Arrived at A&E at 5am in pain and was very quickly seen and given pain relief, x rays and was monitored before being sent to the assessment ward F3. All staff in A&E were fantastic and treated me with respect and care at all times. Well done to all in A&E you were all amazing thank you. On arrival to the ward I was seen by the most caring, sweetest, kindest doctor any sick person would wish to see, who took time to explain everything to me and was just fantastic. All the nurses on the ward also treated me with care and attention all through the next 24 hrs even though they were very busy What a shame therefore that the next day the consultant arrived at my bedside with about 8 other people, didnt explain who they were or ask if I minded them being there and then proceeded to talk AT me, over me and made me feel like a piece of meat. Every patient has the right to be treated with respect at all times, however when you are sick and in pain, and afraid this is even more important. What a shame this one person ruined all the good work of the other excellent staff. I need further treatment at the hospital but I will totally refuse to be seen by this consultant ever again.
