"My knee replacement surgery"

I opted to come to this centre for my treatment because I had received positive feedback from other ex-patients. I was not disappointed. The pre-op visit was conducted in a very professional manner. Everything concerning my treatment was explained to me including the downside and the staff were excellent.

On the day of the surgery I was admitted at 6.30am and prepared for surgery. The nursing staff who did this were excellent. I was prepared for surgery by the anaesthetist who put me at ease when administering the epidural. I was impressed with the professionalism of the theatre staff who went through a thorough checklist before surgery. The surgeon was realistic about the outcome - telling me not to expect too much too soon.

After surgery I was looked after to a very high standard in the recovery room and on the ward. The staff in both areas were both caring and attentive.

The physiotherapists looked after me well and made sure I was mobile enough to cope at home, giving me the requisite exercises.

I made such good progress that I was allowed to be discharged at 2pm on the day following my surgery and continue my recovery at home.

I cannot speak too highly of this treatment centre. It is top of the range stuff. I would recommend anyone needing orthopaedic surgery to go there.
