"Very positive experience due to the lovely..."

About: BPAS Birmingham South Clinic

Today I had a vacuum aspiration abortion via local anaesthetic at 6 weeks 2 days. I can't praise all of the staff I encountered highly enough who I found to be very caring and friendly. During the surgery

I was very well looked after and it really helped that the nursing staff helped take my mind off the situation by chatting throughout. I experienced a sharpe cramping pain during the procedure but it was over so quickly it really wasn't anything like as bad as I had expected. I was able to get up straight after and walk to the rest area and given a cup of tea and biscuits. I felt ready to drive myself home after about 40 mins or so.

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback, which I am sure will be extremely helpful to other women who are looking for guidance prior to their treatment.

We are also grateful for your very kind comments which will be passed on to the relevant BPAS staff.

Kind regards, Pam Field, BPAS Client Engagement Manager (email: clientservices@bpas.org).
