"Very sore blocked saliva gland"

To telephone for appointment on the same day we have we have to phone after 8.30am. I phoned over 100 times and could not even get onto the quoted carousel (automated call stacking). It cost me over £10 and I wrote a written complaint which was deemed to be unfounded. I have since tried to phone several times for a same day appointment (dead on 8.30am) and only once have I ever got onto the carousel. I recently telephoned for a same day appointment and again no reply.

I had a blocked saliva gland (this was the second time it happened) which was increasing severely and becoming very sore. I rang at 11am and was referred to Triage. I was told there was a doctor off sick and the surgery was busy and should be able to wait until the day after (I was given an appointment for the next day). At 5pm I was suffering severe aches and went to surgery to see a doctor. A doctor saw me after an hour and prescribed anti-biotics (which would not take affect for a further 48 hours).
