After a 999 call my 90 year old sister was rushed to The Lister ( a hospital neither of us knew anything about) as an emergency and I accompanied her in the ambulance. I have nothing but praise for the two paramedics who were very professional and treated her with great kindness. On arrival at The Lister she was immediately in the care of a wonderful consultant and staff.
From that moment on and throughout her stay of six days in the hospital she could not have had better care or treatment from all the consultants, doctors, nurses and staff who looked after her.
It was at first thought that she may not pull through but I am happy and relieved to say that she is now at home and well. I have visited many hospitals in London and all over the country and I have to say with all honesty that The Lister is up there with the best.
On entering the hospital I was immediately struck by the cleanliness of the wards and this continued throughout the hospital.
The bed linen was immaculate and my sister tells me the food was excellent.
So to all the consultants, doctors, nurses and staff, a huge thank you from my sister and all the family.
You should be very proud of yourselves.
