Had already been in A&E 3 hours checking on arm after faint and fall when said main concern was bleeding in pregnancy (currently 18 weeks). Doctors had told me to go to A&E to be checked and referred on to our local Early Pregnancy Unit
Arm x-rayed twice when first xray showed no break - mentioned possible stress fracture but never confirmed
Have neurological condition affecting BP which swings constantly and left stood an hour trying to hand in a urine sample to check for pregnancy (notified of this by a very confused nurse who had no knowledge of any of underlying medical conditions) and was on verge of blacking out again. Told to sit and wait for x-ray results and were phoning gynae registrar to come and do examination
Finally after 3 hours had pelvic exam by A&E doctor and told needed gynae to take a look also and to wait in reception. A further 2 hours wait and chased to be told they were waiting for a bed on a ward to do the exam and none were available so had to wait until one was. Went to get food and came back to be told over an hour later there were still no beds and to wait in reception by which time was overdue medication, in absolute agony with both arm and belly and with bleeding which was stop and start. Finally felt so ill went home to get medication and asked to ring me immediately a bed was free.
Rang back this morning to say still wasnt a bed so technically could have been sat in A&E all night. Still bleeding on and off and bouts of pain. Still not told outcome of xray so rang community midwife who advised me to go to A&E!
