"treatment rejected!"

I am extremely disappointed with the staff at the minor injuries clinic. My husband had something sharp in his foot, after four days where it got to the point he could barely walk, I finally convinced him to go to minor injuries to remove it, as they had once done for me a few years back. He was told to go back the next day for an x--Ray (a little strange but fine) he changed his work commitments and went down there. He had an x Ray at 9am and told to go back in an hour. They said they couldn't see anything, gave him a plaster and said to either go private or "get it out yourself". I was actually stunned. He limped away with a plaster that came unstuck the minute he walked out of the door. To leave someone in pain....and not do anything when all they needed to do was have a look. Shocking. I later Sat for an hour and finally extracted a shard of glass, deep from his foot. Unsterile and with no pain relief. This is the level of care you can expect from an overstretched NHS
