I would like to express my appreciation to everyone in Cardiology at The Northern General for the professional and friendly service I have received over the last three years for my irregular heartbeat.
The Arrhythmia Nurse who first saw me was knowledgeable and efficient .
The cardiac surgeon who performed a VATS ablation was reassuring throughout, with a dry sense of humour. Pre and post operatively the team of nurses and technicians was superb.
My cardiologist who oversaw me post operatively and up to discharge has taken the time to explore some of the complexities of my condition and juggle my treatment to get the best outcome. Thank you for your calm and reassuring manner.
I hope I can maintain the stability which this team has established for me.
At a time when aspects of the NHS come under scrutiny and criticism, we must not forget that there are overwhelming examples of good practice and that a competent, caring and personally tailored approach from practitioners can be as potent a 'medicine' as any dispensed from a pharmacy.
Thank you all once again.
"Excellent care over a three year period"
