What I liked
Family member was taken to the Emergency Department at about 1am in agony and vomiting, was seen within 3 minutes and taken in straight away, given pain relief etc extensive observation. Was admitted for a further 10 days and staff were very friendly, but still very professional at the same time..a good combination. Was never in pain. And the hospital is spotlessly clean, did not see one instance of dirt anywhere there when we were visting the patient, and the person staying there was very impressed the hygiene there, cleaners are very thorough and do excellent job, even when person in bed opposite was discharged, 10 minutes later the bed was taken apart and thoroughly cleaned and disinfected including bedside cabinet, nurse call/light buttons all cleaned...
While was there somebody in another bed opposite ripped out a tube they had during surgery and started bleeding heavily and was very impressed with the rapid reaction from nurses etc, it may look like there aren't too many nurses/doctors to a ward, but when they are needed, like they were then, they are there straight away, there was about 6 nurses and 2 doctors treating the woman immediately, and even then was impressed by cleanliness as not one bit of blood was anywhere to be found after the incident.
What could be improved
Can't think of anything that could have been improved...
Anything else?
Much thanks to the ED staff and all staff on F ward, very professional and friendly.
