"A&E at Leicester Royal Infirmary!"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary / Accident and emergency

(as a carer),

My elderly mum admitted today with severe abdominal pain and sickness

As Mum was nil by mouth i asked for something to moisten her lips and dry mouth. It was so dry that mum couldn't talk properly. I had to ask three different nurses and it took over two hours to get! I think this is absolutely disgusting treatment.

3 hours after arriving finally seen by someone

No one explained what was happening

finally told she was being admitted to a ward. But no one took the time to explain that the ward was at the other hospital(General) First we knew of it was when the ambulance man arrived to collect her.

None of the medical staff who were supposedly responsible for her care explained anything

I can accept that staff are busy but its no excuse for treating people so badly
