"18 hours to go and surgery cancelled"

About: Pilgrim Hospital

Been waiting months for surgery. Have had to ring for a date for my operation. With less than 18hours notice was told that it had to be cancelled due to shortage of beds!

Bet they would have found a bed if I was paying privately for the op.

I am sorry that your surgery was cancelled at such notice.

I am not able to tell you exactly why the cancellation occurred, or to arrange an alternative date for you through Patient Opinion.

However, if you would like to contact our PALS team at Pilgrim hospital on 01205 446243, they will be able to help you to organise a suitable alternative.
