"Upper GI Endoscopy at Ayr Hospital"

About: University Hospital Ayr / Gastroenterology

(as the patient),

I recently attended the Day Medical Centre at Ayr for Gastroscopy. I was very nervous and much relieved when it was over, I didn't get a chance to thank the staff involved. I don't have all the names but from entering the unit I was treated very well by everyone. They took time to explain the procedure and really put me at ease, also taking time after the procedure to explain the findings and what the next steps should be. Thanks to Mr Fon, Angela, Kerryanne and the rest of the staff who were involved.

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear Mr Sore Belly, (Although I hope not so sore now)

It is easy to understand why you were glad it was over, I would have been too. It is great to hear such lovely feedback that everything went so well with your care. Thank you. I will be delighted to pass this to the team and I am sure they will be delighted too.

Best wishes

Eunice
