"Not enough audiology staff"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

(as the patient),

The staff in the Audiology department are all lovely and very professional but that is the problem- there are not enough staff. I have been waiting for a hearing test for 15 months now and it is very distressing to be unable to hear properly. It is isolating and lonely- the hidden disability that no one sees.

I have hearing aids but my hearing has deteriorated rapidly in the last 18 months so my aids no longer help. They need reset to suit the change in my ears.

Get more audiologists PLEASE. This is not an acceptable service..
