My disabled husband fell in his bathroom, we called 999 and waited, then had to call again, waited an hour. When they came, they moved my husband and raised him on an air cushion, which he screamed in pain throughout. They moved him into his wheelchair, didn't examine him and said it was spasms in his leg and to take some paracetamol. Then they left.
We helped him in to bed, later we had to call again, because he was in so much pain, different paramedics came took one look at his leg, and said they wouldn't touch his leg as his hip was broken, they took him to hospital where the doctor confirmed his hip had a spiral break, in 3 places. He had it repaired.
