"First class care from Minor Injuries Department"

About: Stirling Royal Infirmary / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as a parent/guardian),

I took my 6 year old son to the Minor Injuries Department at Stirling Community Hospital. He had a deep skelf in his hand which needed to be taken out. The nurse who dealt with him was fabulous. She was very focused on him, asking him questions, engaging him in his care and letting him make choices, which was great. This put him mind at ease and let him feel in control. Following the treatment he was given a choice of certificates and stickers (even an extra sticker for his little brother) which he could not wait to take with him to school the following day to show his friends. First class service!

Dear CW Falkirk

Thank you so much for getting in touch and leaving such lovely feedback. I have shared your posting with the team at the Minor Injuries Unit, who pass on their thanks, they really appreciated you taking the time to get in touch, it makes such a difference to staff to hear from patients and families.

I am so pleased that your experience was such a positive one, the team work hard to make sure their patients receive the highest level of care.

I’m sure your little boy had great delight showing his friends his wound and his sticker and telling them about his adventure and I hiope that his hand is getting better.

Kindest regards

Pauline Marland
