"Thanks - Heatherwood Closing!?"

As a patient in urology clinic and short stay surgery, I would like to pass on my thanks to all staff both clinical and administration who have always been caring, efficient and professional.

I recently saw part of an interviews on TV where someone from the Trust indicated Heatherwood is to close? The site being sold for re development. He indicated a new hospital is to be built close by?

I hope that the new hospital is built and ready for use before Heatherwood is shut or I fear that it will not happen. The new site should also be in as easily an accessible location as now.

The existing teams should be able to transfer to the new units without having to worry about being disbanded or relocated to different areas

If it is a question of funding then as a condition of sale the Purchasers should fund the or underwrite the new hospital with perhaps some additional funding from Government.

Once again as an existing and possible return patient I would like to express my sincere thanks to the staff for my thus far successful treatment.
