"LRI - Weekend - cleaning - ED"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

Please could the bosses at leicester hospitals get cleaning teams to clean the front of Lri, ED, Balmoral entrance and the surrounding area, weekends there are no cleaning staff.

I attend to the hospital over the weekends to see my friend and it didn't feel welcoming, it looked like a complete mess, rubbish everywhere on the floor, bins filled, chewing gum everywhere on the floor outside Children's ED.

Why do members of public have to report these issues. Bosses at the hospital don't notice these issues as they don't work weekends. Maybe they should walk around their hospitals a bit more and pay more attention.

Please address this as matter of urgency - hospital should be clean - inside and outside.

Dear reviewer, thank you for taking the time to review ‘Estates and Facilities’ at Leicester Royal Infirmary.

I am sorry that your experience of visiting has led to your comments.

As I am sure you can appreciate the weekends are often our busiest times around the Emergency Department areas and it can be difficult to keep up with all the refuse left by other visitors who do not use the bins etc.

We will be speaking to the team/s who look after that part of the hospital in order to endeavour to improve the area – maybe we require more bins, signs etc.

Kind regards, Communications Team, Leicester's Hospitals.
