"2 week wait to find out what in fact the surgeon has done"

Very recently I was admitted as a day case at last minute on a Saturday (clearing the waiting list) to the new treatment centre at Leighton. I was impressed with the new facilities and it was cleanly and well ran. I was asked to turn up at 10am and over 5.5hrs later after everyone else was operated on I was sent though for general anaesthetic for my operation. When I came round at some time later I asked if the consultant was going to visit me and was advised he had gone home! Lucky for some! I asked staff how the operation had gone and what he had done etc, and they couldnt read his notes! I now face a 2 week wait to find out what in fact the surgeon has done! I dont think this is acceptable, nor the service you should accept. The waiting time for a straight forward operation day case is on the extreme aswell.
