I had my 1st total knee replacement in june 2015

They found that i had a broken knee also when they operated my surgeon told me next day and all was fine & fixed to which it was i could walk again after been housebound &wheelchair bound for a very long time then there i was next day after my operation along with physios walking the ward i nearly cried with joy

Then this year january2016 i was asked to go in again to have my other knee replaced too as it needed a total knee replacement again overjoyed as by this time day after operation i was walking pain free and no bones on knees grinding together i walked on two crutches freely and after only two days was allowed home

I'd like to thank my surgeon & their team and all nursing staff day & nightime and catering staff & cleaners and all help on ward D48 twice within 10 months of my two brilliant operations ive just few weeks ago had my 1st follow up appointment it went so well i dont have to go back till january 2017 thank you for heloing me walk again all those that i have mentioned at Sunderland Royal Infirmary ..I now how quality of life ive wanted for so many years ..thanks Pamela
