"Good"

Have been impressed with this and it's so much easier to access now that you can self-refer online.

But, I think there are some givens with mental health services that can make it difficult for some people to access: you have to have the energy to change (sometimes you're too depressed to do this); you have to be brave enough to say you want to change counsellor if you don't have a rapport; you need to know that you have to make the changes, it can be difficult but the counsellor can help you get better, but they can't do it for you.

When supporting a close family member following a suicide attempt I found one of the biggest problems is that while services are well set up for low level mental health problems and severe problem (i.e. those requiring Sectioning) those who are between these two extremes aren't well served. Not sure this is just a problem for Bury, I think it's probably a national problem for NHS mental health care provision.
