"Care received at Medical Day Bed Unit"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Medical Oncology

(as the patient),

I was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer in November 2015, and have been receiving chemotherapy weekly for past 6 months. I cannot thanks Gerry and his team enough for the care and compassion shown to myself through out this difficult time. The nursing staff were professional and despite being extremely busy always had time for a chat.

Dear KM55

Thank you for taking time to tell us about your experience when attending the Day Unit at Wishaw General for your chemotherapy.

It must have been extremely stressful for you but I’m pleased to hear that all the staff were professional, compassionate and helpful.

It is a busy area but a nice ‘wee’ chat is so important and we appreciate that positive feedback. I will make sure that your comments are shared with the whole team.

Many thanks again for your comments.

Warm regards

Margaret
