"Wessex Neurological outpatient department"

About: Southampton General Hospital

I have attended the Wessex Neurological Centre outpatient department for 41 years and have only had to wait around 7-10 times after my appointment time. If a patient fails to attend or is very late, I have been seen either by the specialist nurses or by either of my specialists (neurological for my epilepsy and neurosurgery regarding the cyst inside my spine). When, as an inpatient for the draining of the cyst inside my spine, I cannot fault the attention I received when I needed it. As for the epilepsy, if I contact the department they know after so long that it must be important and will fit me in as soon as possible. And before anyone thinks otherwise, I do not get preferential treatment!
