"24 year old with heart condition"

About: Worthing Hospital

A long story short. My 24 year old son was admitted about 5 months ago with a heart rate of 160 bpm and heart function of 10% staff didn't really know what to do and were considering 'shocking' him which I thought was probably not best at that point given that they didn't know the problem. Discharged 4 days later with follow up appointments which did not happen chased up returned for shock treatment/ cardio gram etc, all good but no follow up appt received - chased up many times, senior ' secretary' informed me there's no problem! Insisted on seeing cardiologist, finally got appt saw Dr who agreed that my son had fallen through the net somewhat has myopathy but not sure which, and this could affect other members of family and will sort out from Here on - great, nope, I call hospital for further appointment- they never return calls ( ever) I'm still chasing, but will now request that he is referred to Brompton hospital and see how I get on!!
