"My late miscarriage"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Gynaecology (Ward 49)

(as the patient),

I lost my first baby at 20 weeks of pregnancy. It was the hardest and saddest moment of my life, but the doctor and midwives who looked after me made it less unbearable thanks to their sensitivity, compassion and expertise.

I work in a small team within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. Part of the team’s role is to support patients and carers through our feedback systems which will help to improve the services we provide. On Patient Opinion, I support Lorna Gray, Patient Experience Public Involvement Project Manager, and Niall McGrogan, Head of Patient Experience Public Involvement.

Dear Jane E

I am very sorry for your loss. Thank you for taking the time to post on Patient Opinion during what must be an extremely difficult time for you. The doctor and midwives will be grateful to hear that the way in which they care for you helped a little to ease your pain. I will pass on your kind words to them.

My thoughts are with you.

Lisa
