"6 hour turnaround very disappointiing."

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

My daughter was referrd from loughborough walk in centre to A and E , we had to start the whole process again starting from minors then going round to A And E . This place is a shambles , dirty everywhere we went from corridors to toilets . As there are very few seats in A and E there were patients having to stand , there was no room for patients To sit let alone a relative ! I witnessed eldetly people in their 80s and 90s sat in chairs for well over an hour despite one of them pleading for a bed as he was so uncomfortable , he was told they wud find him one soon , they never did in the nearly 2 hrs we were in the purple zone , i decided to go get a drink and as soon as i turned the corner out of The purple zone there was a corridor full of empty beds ! So why was this elderly man being kept in a chair and told no beds !!

We arrived at A and E at around 7.45 pm in a saturday night and after a chest xray and blood tests on my daughter she was told around 12.15 am that the tests were fine however it

Wasnt untill 1.10 am that my daughter was told she was fine to go home ! Why did it take nearly another hour to be told to leave , i watched doctors at the desks and a lot of them seemed to be just sat there staring in to space and looking around as if to say ive got nothing to do yet the A and E was overflowing ! They were at snails pace to say the least .

We were there nearky 6 hrs for a blood test and xray , this amount of time is not acceptable and the whole place needs a specialist cleaning team in !

On the other hand i was a the

Qmc in notts in a busy sunday night earlier this yr and we were in and out of that place with 4 hours and it was certainly cleaner despite being jam packed with patients and all the patienys were on beds not being left in chairs .
