"Expert surgery and nursing"

About: Royal Sussex County Hospital

I was admitted as an emergency patient at the end of February 2016 with appendicitis that had caused a large abscess in my stomach. The operation was much more complex than expected, but the surgeons were able to carry it out via laparoscopy. I was then in the hospital for 6 days. The surgical team and nurses were very attentive, sympathetic and professional. I was not discharged until all were certain that I was on the road to recovery. Royal Sussex is a very good hospital with very high standards of patient care.

Dear HM

Thank you so much for taking the time to feedback about your experience when you had surgery in February. I am delighted to hear that it was positive and I have passed this onto the teams involved in your care,I know that they will really appreciate your kind words.

I hope that you have recovered well.

Best wishes

Caroline Davies
