"I don't want his health to become any worse but appointments are cancelled"

My partner suffers from Ulcerative Colitis and ha recently been very ill with flare-ups and I feel that he should be monitored closely to ensure that any medication and his health is controlled until it is stable. However this has not been the case with Southport & Formby District General Hospital. He has been referred to an orthpaedic specialist at the same hospitcal due to a complication with medication relating to a major flare-up in the past. He has had appointments made for him, and they have been cancelled on him. On some occasions he has not received any notification of a cancellation. Also he recently became ill with a flare-up and could have potentially ended up in hospital with it again. Because of this he went to the doctors for some medication to help relieve the pain and the inflammation of the flare-up. However when he finally got an appointment, which was 3-6months later after his original appointment, the specialist, effectively moaned at him for finding himself a solution to resolve the pain. I feel that if my partner hadn't had his original appointment cancelled on him, that he wouldn’t have fell ill again, and he wouldn't of had to go to the doctors to get medication.

Also at the present time, he had an appointment cancelled on him at the last minute, and he is ill, again, and the next he will see the specialist will be the end of April. I seriously think that this unfair, because I know that he will suffer and suffer until he can no longer bear it and will have to go to the doctors for medication again. This will also cause "weirdness" when he next visits his appointment, if it isn't cancelled again.

I know I am going on and on, but I want to get across that the hospital will book one appointment, which will cancelled, and it will cancelled up to 2 to 4 times. This has happened to him for the past 3 appointments now.

Also when my partner was in hospital this time last year, he almost had surgery due to the ulcerative colitis, even at that time, the doctors who were administrating his medication left him without any from 10.00am until 10.00pm and the reason for this was because he was in the shower. We repeatedly asked the nurses when he would get his medication, and we repeatedly told them that he hadn't received any medication from 10:ooam, and we were told that it would be sorted, but it never was. The only reason that my partner finally got his medication was when a student nurse took his readings to find that his temperature was +40 degrees celsius. They had my partner on a ward for diabetes and dementia, and then he was changed to a ward were there people dying, my partner is under 35, I think he should have been put into a younger ward, or a place where he could of had his own privacy.

I would just like to know what is going on at the appointments office, and whether any consideration is being taken into about my partners health because I don't want his health to become any worse and we are trying our best for him to be in hospital again, because he can afford to. I just want to ensure that he will be looked after and I just want the best for him, which is all anyone wants.
