"Excellent service in A&E"

I visited A&E on Bank Holiday Monday with my 15 year old daughter who had damaged her ankle playing netball over the weekend. On arriving, I was impressed with the newly refurbished A&E area and with the speed we were processed. We were referred to the children's section and were seen within 5 mins. The nurse suspected ligament and tissue damage, but recommended an X-Ray due to the amount of swelling. We were sent to X-Ray and again seen very quickly there, returning to A&E within 10-15 mins. After a very brief wait for the X-Ray to be reviewed (5-10 mins?) we were seen again by the same nurse who confirmed there was not a fracture and that their original diagnosis was correct and made some care recommendations. Medway has had some bad press, but have to say my experience was very positive.

All areas were clean and tidy, the staff pleasant and helpful and the service fast and efficient. Well done Medway A&E!
