"Appointment refusal"

About: Spire Little Aston Hospital

I was referred to little Aston by my GP. I booked an appointment for the 3/5/16 I received a message to contact them when I did contact them I was told that because my BMI was over 40 they refused to see me in case I needed special expertise that they couldn't provide! I am absolutely appalled since the appointment was regarding my knee that was screwed up by Good Hope hospital!

When I pay my tax that gives to the NHS there are no exclusions that overweight people don't pay in to their fund! In fact some overweight people get treatment such as gastric bands fitted to lose weight!

I am disgusted as there should not be any exclusions on the NHS! If I went to them as a private patient I have no doubt that they snap my hand off for my money they'd be no exclusions regarding my BMI which is in itself a false way of differentiate people's weight!
