"Stood up for 8 hours"

I was sent by out of hours doctor to have a extremely swollen hemaroid which was preventing me from sitting down with the pain I was sent to ward f3 where I was put in the family waiting room and left standing up for 8 hours befor I was given a bed and seen by a surgeon

We would like to sincerely apologise that you were left standing for this length of time. Whilst there was no bed available on F3 ward we could have sought out an alternative that would have allowed you to lie down in comfort.

Your experience has been passed on to the ward staff so that we can learn from this in the future.
