"Hysterectomy - Branston ward"

About: Lincoln County Hospital

Just got home the day after my hysterectomy and would like to say thank you to everybody from the surgical team to the nursing staff on Branston ward. Surgery can leave you feeling very vulnerable, especially when you are bedridden, but nothing was too much trouble for the staff even though they are obviously busy and have a high turnover of patients on the ward.

Usual disappointment with the food, despite the variety and quantity offered it must be difficult to maintain quality in such a large facility.

Nothing to do with my visit but I did notice that because Branston is a female ward, partners cannot stay which is obviously distressing in the case of stillbirth or miscarriage. Maybe there could be a side ward/room where couples can stay together to support each other when they are going through such a distressing time?
