I had my first ever operation yesterday and I cannot be more thankful to the staff that looked after me and treated me. Even as a 22 year old woman, I'm a bit of a wimp and was terrified of the thought of it, but all the staff were so helpful and kind and reassuring. In fact the whole process from my allergy test back in October, to my pre op in January, to talking to the waiting list clerk on the phone, to the day itself was a pleasant experience. Every time I've been in the staff make me feel like I'm the only person in the world. And given the current circumstances of the NHS, it's really reassuring to see everything still going smoothly. I can't remember everyone's names, but I do remember a member of staff who was looking after me in recovery, my nurse in Chanctonbury. There was someone in Chanctonbury who also looked after me afterwards, I think this was a Health Care Assistant but I didn't catch their name. Big thanks to my surgeon for doing it for me as well, again I can't remember their name but I believe I will see them in 8 weeks for my check up. I can't put into words just how much this problem has affected my life and it's finally fixed. I want to hug you all! Thank you all so so much.
"Blown away by everyone's kindness!"
