My husband was admitted as an emergency and had his fractured femur repaired by an a Orthopaedic Consultant whose specialism was upper body a,
The Physio available is limited.
He is told to walk with his walking aids with a member of staff as often as possible.
There is rarely anyone available to walk with him.
He is having to pay for private Phydio when he leaves the hospital.
NICE recommend a bone density scan after a hip fracture - indeed it is NHS policy that this happens.
The Discharge Sister - rude - says this is not in the DMH policy and it is a Consultant decision.
The Discharge Management Sister will not answer questions or give adequate information.
The HCA's and RGN's appear to be mostly 'Bank' staff.
My husband could not have a wash or shave until lunchtime today as one patient was allowed to 'hog' the bathroom on the ward.
The ward is chaotic as is the record keeping - even my husband's name is spelled incorrectly.
My advice is to give this hospital a very wide berth!
