"Glad to be home"

About: Worcestershire Royal Hospital

After having my opp cancelled due to no beds (gyne) had to wait a further 2 weeks all the build up arrangements chopped and changed i was in quiet a state so when chestnut ward phoned at 11.45am to say we have a bed i was in further panic had to get hubby from work then get from kiddy to hospital. When i arrived had a friendly welcome and had op soon after recovery staff were great hubby went home i had a nap then an elderly lady in the bed opposite was calling help help me and it seemed ages before anyone came to her this went on for hours i showed concern and the nursing staff said she has some sort of dementia and gets upset. This crying and calling went on all through the night i was upset in pain and exhausted as were others in the bay luckily one of the nurses at our request managed to move her to a side room the next day where she could have privacy and we could rest or so we thought later that night more noise a man in the next bay was abusive and attact one of the night staff security was called so we didn't get much rest that night. On discharge the lounge is a loose discription more a wating area with loos i witnessed another elderly lady who was waiting for a transfer wraped in a bedspead wearing a blood soiled hospital nightieshe was given food in a platic take away box she couldnt open it much less get it near enough to eat it my hubby helped her he got her a table and opend the food and cutlery if and i do hope i never do have to stay in a hospital i pray it isn't worcester
