"Understanding of my pain"

About: Arden, Herefordshire and Worcestershire

(as the patient),

I suffer from a rare disease which causes severe pain from organs failing to work properly, multiple joint dislocations and subluxations, soft tissue injuries and poor wound healing. I also suffer from endometriosis that has spread into the nerve pathways in my pelvis, back and legs. I experience sickle cell crises and uterine haemorrhages. I live in severe pain constantly.

My experience of this surgery is constant unexplained delays in prescriptions for pain relief, lost prescriptions for controlled drugs ending up in boxes and being spoken to as if I'm a drug addict that isn't really in pain, despite multiple letters and evidence from highly trained pain consultants at several hospitals saying otherwise.

The catalyst for this review was a phone call where, upon explaining my hip was still healing from a recent dislocation and requesting pain relief to last over a Holiday period, I was told to just put up with the pain, and that I shouldn't be on painkillers. I'm sure any GP at this practice would appreciate pain relief after a dislocated hip!

Not only do I have to live in severe pain with multiple potentially life threatening illnesses, I'm told to just get on with it and denied pain relief.

My Treatment is inhumane. I'm an adult living with uncontrollable severe neuropathic, inflammatory, soft tissue and mechanical pain. I hope none of these people ever have to experience an hour of the pain I live with.
