I have been going to highbury as an outpatient for some months and have found it brilliant great involvement with my nurse and partner and my consultant was simply fantastic, they knew what was going on in my head without me having to say it. I was admitted for a week for my own saftey and it changed my view. The wards are out dated, it was like prison. Cigarette breaks one every two hours and food was disgusting. I only ate when on leave which i was lucky to have daily. I was there for a week but when left was no better but as was not sectioned i decided to recover at home which was possibly too early due to my mental state but just couldnt handle being in the ward any longer. I have great respect for the crisis team and the consultants who work there but they are let down by the out dated wards.
"outpatients brilliant,inpatients not so great"
