"We have done lots of different things at the Women's Group"

About: Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust / Intellectual Developmental Disabilities /Learning Disability Services – Community (County)

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I have liked coming to the women’s group I have made new friends and they help me on the bus as we travel together. I have met lots of new people and had fun getting to know them. We have done lots of different things like going out, making cards, bingo and crafts and I have learnt to make Hama Beads and how to eat healthy at home and how to look after my emotions by talking to staff about how I feel. Sometimes I meet my new friends at the café before the women’s group and we have some food, I would like to keep doing this after the group ends. The staff have been very helpful to me, they support me when I am not very good at something and are good to talk to about everything.
