I attended the Adnexal clinic on Monday 25th April for my usual Botox injections. I had to wait an hour to be seen by the nurse. I told them that I couldn't sit or wait much longer as I had recently had back surgery , also I had applied EMLA cream , the effects of which wear off after a while. I then waited another 45mins to see a doctor by which time my back was very painful. I usually see the same doctor, but I saw a different doctor this time. This doctor's manner to me was condescending, and when I looked into a mirror after I left the clinic I saw that there was a lot of bruising under my left eye. By the time I got home I had a black eye, I look as if I've been punched. I accept that there can sometimes be some bruising, but I have never had bruising like this , and I've been having injections for over 10 years, firstly at Southend Hospital and at Moorfields for the last couple of years. I have taken photos of my eye as proof. I don't know if they injected the wrong place or wasn't careful enough but I should not come away with a black eye.
