I could not thank all of the midwifes at the rvi enough for making me feel comfortable and in safe hands for the birth of my first baby in December 2015. I had the birthing centre experience which was lovely and the surroundings and cleanliness of the hospital was of a high standard. Although it wasn't picked up that my baby was lying back to back on my first visit into the assessment unit which resulted in slower contractions and me being turned away twice because they were too slow, this is the only fault I could make. Would be my first choice for any future maternity care.

Thank you very much for the kind feedback provided on our Maternity Services at RVI. We are very pleased to read that you had such a positive birth experience, we pride ourselves in providing high quality care to all women and our birthing centre was designed to provide the best possible environment required to support normal birth.

Babies positions do impact on the normal labour process, but despite the challenges this can sometimes bring, our midwives are equipped to support women with the help of their birth partners through this process.

May we wish you and your new family our best wishes and look forward to seeing you again in the future.
