"Delays for Induction"

My partner is 40 weeks pregant and gave birth 10 months previous to 10lb 13oz baby so gwent really didnt want the baby to be as big as a precausion so booked her in for an induction. We turned up and were told that she was 2cm dialated and all they had to do was pop her waters. Well shes been waiting 48 hours now. What kind of system is this where a heavily pregnant women has to be stressed out to the max worrying about her ten month old and a 6 year old and 12 year at home. We live ten minutes from the hospital so requested that when theres a space could they ring us and we would be down in ten minutes as its much more comfy at home! apparently cant do that because theres a list and she would be taken off that list... even though they are the the ones who booked her in the first place? Absolute joke of a system! ! !
