"My dad"

About: Good Hope Hospital / Elderly medicine

(as a relative),

Whilst visiting dad everyday we met a healthcare assistant called Sarah but she said she goes by little Sarah as there was another Sarah.

Little Sarah was ever so kind to dad, shaved him everyday made sure he looked smart for the day and when mom came to visit little Sarah made sure mom was ok offering cups of tea each time, and when it was dinner time as mom had been there all day little Sarah made sure mom had something to eat aswell which was ever so nice as mom and dad got to eat together.

Little Sarah was very chatty to us and made dad feel better, making dad laugh, I just wanted to pass on some praise to little Sarah she did a fantastic job which we will never forget all the best to her and all the best to ward 21 best ward in the hospital well best ward my dad has ever been on.

Dear Happy relative in bay 5

Thank you very much for taking the time to provide your comments regarding your father's recent admission to Ward 21 at Good Hope Hospital.

It is heartwarming to read your comments about 'Little Sarah' the Health Care Assistant who provided such great care and support to not only your Dad as the patient, but to your Mom as well, enabling them to eat together and spend quality time whilst he was in hospital. It sounds as if Sarah did an amazing job in keeping your dad's spirits up by being chatty and making him laugh!

I will be delighted to ensure that your kind comments are highlighted to Lisa Smith, Ward Manager for Ward 21, Donna Woodings, Matron for Elderly Medicine, as well as Vanessa Wort, Divisional Head Nurse who will all be thrilled to read your feedback and ensure it is highlighted to Sarah, as well as to all of the team who work extremely hard in providing a positive patient experience often in difficult circumstances.

I hope my actions are acceptable and once again thank you so much for providing your feedback, patient experience is extremely important to us. My best wishes to your Dad for his continued recovery.

With kind regards

Marie Helebert
