"With-out exception I was treated ..."

About: Burnley General Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

With-out exception I was treated with kindness and dignity by every professional I encountered during my brief stay. I was made to feel very welcome and whenever a nurse passed by me they asked if I was okay. The staff were very polite and friendly and explained everything that was going to happen.

What could be improved

My husband had to leave me at the checking in desk. It would have been more reassuring for me if he could have waited until I went down for my operation. As I was able to have the curtains drawn around my bed area it would not have interfered with other patients' dignity.

Also, as he was only allowed to drop me off and pick me up, it seems unfait rhat he had to pay for up to three hours parking twice in one day.

Anything else?

I was concerned about going to Burnley as I had only ever been to Blackburn. I needn't have been.
